PowerBoard offers a comprehensive range of options for managing a merchant account. This guide outlines the steps to modify Personal / User Details, reset passwords, obtain API Credentials, and navigate the Audit section, among other features.

Personal / User Details

Personal/User details can be viewed and updated from the Profile Menu. Go to the top corner of the dashboard’s left-hand side. Click on your name to expand the list of options.

To add or update Personal/User details, such as name, email and password:

  1. Go to Profile menu > User Settings > Personal / User details.
  2. Fill in the First Name and Last name.
  3. Click on Update Personal or Change email, respectively.

Password reset

For security reasons, all Users are required to reset their passwords every 90 days. The system will display a pop-up notification to change the password every time the User attempts to log in within the 5 days period before the password expires.

Password requirements:

  • a minimum of 14 characters;
  • one uppercase;
  • one lowercase;
  • one number;
  • one special character;
  • cannot duplicate the last 15 passwords;

Password details can be viewed and updated from the Profile Menu. Go to the top corner of the dashboard’s left-hand side. Click on your name to expand the list of options.

To reset your password from your PowerBoard within the 90-day period:

  1. Go to Profile menu > User Settings > Personal / User details.
  2. Fill in the New Password, Repeat Password (New password) and your Current Password.
  3. Click on Change Password.

  1. Go to your PowerBoard login page.
  2. Click on Forgot Password?
  3. Enter your Login email and click on Go Get It!
  4. Go to the inbox of your account email and locate the Password reset email. The invitation link is valid for 72 hours. Please check your Spam/Junk folders if you cannot find the email.
  5. Click on Continue to PowerBoard.
  6. Enter the new password in the opened window and click on Submit.

Company Details

Company details can be viewed and updated from the Profile Menu. Go to the top corner of the dashboard’s left-hand side. Click on your name to expand the list of options.

To add or update the Company name, address, email, and ABN:

  1. Go to Profile menu > My Company > Company Profile.
  2. Click Update Company Data.

Company details

API Credentials

API credentials are unique identifiers linked to your account, permitting API requests to be processed while controlling access. The API keys, Public and Private, authenticate the application accessing the API without referencing an actual user. The difference between the API credentials and API authentication is that the latter identifies the user as well.

API credentials can be viewed and updated from the Profile Menu. Go to the top corner of the dashboard’s left-hand side. Click on your name to expand the list of options.

API credentials

To locate, revoke or pause your API Secret and Public Keys:

  1. Go to Profile menu > My Company > API & Settings.
  2. To revoke and issue new API keys, select Reset underneath each Key.
  3. To temporarily disable the API keys, select Pause underneath each Key.

Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

Two-factor authentication, or 2FA, adds an extra layer of security to your account login by requiring two types of authentication. A password alone is insufficient to pass the authentication check even if the password gets compromised. After setting up 2FA for your account, you can sign in with your password and phone.

Enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

To enable 2FA or add token to your account:

  1. Download a free third-party authenticator tool on your mobile devices, such as Google Authenticator or Twilio Authy. Add an account with + sign.
  2. Go to your PowerBoard in the Profile menu > User Settings > Two-factor authentication.
  3. Click Enable / Add Token.
  4. Open the authenticator app on your phone and choose whether to
    1. Scan the QR code or
    2. Insert the random string of letters and digits
  5. Go back to your PowerBoard to enter a Token Name and the 6-digit code from the authenticator app > Accept Token.

  1. 2FA is now enabled! Every time you log into your PowerBoard account, you will be asked to provide a 6-digit authentication code and your login email and password.

Pause Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) Token

To pause 2FA Token for your account with the possibility to re-activate in the future:

  1. Go to Profile menu > User Settings > Two-factor authentication.
  2. Click on Actions > Pause Token > Pause for the specified Token.

OR

Go to Profile menu > Company Users > Users > Pause 2FA for the specified User.

Activate Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) Token

To re-activate 2FA Token for your account:

  1. Go to Profile menu > User Settings > Two-factor authentication.
  2. Click on Actions > Activate Token > Activate for the specified Token.

Delete Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) Token

To delete 2FA Token or archive it and deem it no longer available:

  1. Go to Profile menu > User Settings > Two-factor authentication.
  2. Click on Actions > Activate Token > Delete for the specified Token.

Audit

The Audit visualises how Users interact with your account through an API call or directly from PowerBoard. This feature allows you to detect anomalies and improve internal processes. The admin can download historical data for the previous 90 days

Audit details can be viewed and updated from the Profile Menu. Go to the top corner of the dashboard’s left-hand side. Click on your name to expand the list of options.

  1. Go to Profile menu > Audit.
  2. Click on Download Section to export all Actions in CSV format.
  3. Click on Actions > View Details for the specified Action to view it in more detail.

Audit Action Details

Here are the general details of every Action performed on your account:

  • Action - the name of the Action
  • Agent - the requester of the event (User email or Token ID)
  • Request type - the performer of the Action (API or PowerBoard)
  • Method - the request method (GET, POST, DELETE)
  • Status - the status of the Action
  • URI - the request endpoint
  • IP - the IP Address of the requester
  • Date - the date of the Action
  • Time - the time of the Action

Here are the additional details available for each Action on your account:

  • Issuer User Details - user ID, email, full name, and role
  • Request Details - request ID, permission, host, and IP
  • Route Details - the route and the request method

Login Account troubleshooting

The obstruction to logging into the account could steam from different yet simple-to-overcome reasons. Before contacting the support team, here are some immediate troubleshooting steps you can perform:

  1. Check the login credentials are correct. The system provides 5 attempts before lockout during the login process.
  2. Login from an incognito browsing window.
  3. Clear cache and cookies from the browser.
  4. Log in from a different browser.
  5. Check the URL address.
  6. Check your access permissions - Users, Roles and Whitelisted IPs.
  7. Reset your password.

FAQs

Certainly! You can enable Two-Factor Authentication on multiple devices for the same account. Follow the Enable the Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) process and extend it to your other device as well.

Pausing the API key won't alter its value. While paused, you won't have access to the account via the API. However, upon resuming, you can utilize the same key to access and make changes to the account.

This issue occurs when the screen resolution is more that default 100%. Either change the resolution for your desktop to 100% or manually minimise the screen to see the text field.
