Welcome to the PowerBoard Dashboard tutorials. Today we’ll show you how to create a new subscription. The subscription payment allows you to process customers’ recurring payments for your goods or services. Customer information will be stored as a new customer profile after creating a new subscription. To access the PowerBoard portal, you’ll need to log in using your credentials To create a new subscription, head to the Subscriptions tab and select Add New. Under Add New Subscription enter the customer’s first and last name. You’ll have the option to add the customer’s email address, phone number and a customer reference. Then, enter the customer’s address details if required. Under the Payment Details section enter the amount, including a decimal point for cents.
Let’s enter ten dollars for this subscription. You’ll have the option to add a Reference and a Description. Under the Schedule section, click on the Interval drop down and select your subscription frequency. We’ll create a monthly subscription by selecting the Interval as Month and Frequency as 1. So, every month a ten-dollar charge will be processed for this subscription. For the Start Date, let’s pick the 20th of January 2025. And in the End drop down, choose when you’d like the subscription to end.
We’ll select End Never so the subscription will go on indefinitely until the subscription is manually cancelled. You can set up how to handle failed subscription payments in the Retry section. There are two options in the dropdown... System Default and Custom. We’ll select Custom. Next you can choose the Retry Interval, Frequency, Number of Retries and Fail Status. Let’s set the Interval as Hour, the Frequency as 1, Number of Retries as 6 and Fail Status as Held. Under, Payment Information, choose the payment service from the drop down. The list of linked services your business has will be displayed. We’ll select MasterCard. You can create a payment, by manually entering the card payment details … or you can copy and paste either the customer's Vault Token or the customer’s Vault Token Reference. Let’s enter the details manually. Enter the card holder’s name as it appears on the card, the card number, expiration date and CVV. Create the subscription by clicking Add Subscription. Now you’ll see a list of all the subscriptions created. To search for a subscription, head to the Apply New Filter dropdown and choose from Name, Subscription ID, Customer ID, Payment Service or Status.
