Welcome to the PowerBoard Dashboard tutorials. In this video we’ll provide a demonstration on how to manage a Custom Template. We’ll cover how to create a new custom template, apply filters, update templates and how to delete them. This is relevant for customising your view of the information displayed in the dashboard screen under the Charges tab. To access the PowerBoard portal, you’ll need to log in using your credentials. To add a new Custom Template, displaying the information you need, select the Charges tab on the left of the screen. You can create custom templates for both Charges View Mode and Transactions View Mode.
For this video we’re going to create a custom template for Charges View Mode. Under the settings dropdown arrow select Charges View Mode. Then click Settings in the upper right corner to open the Fields Settings window. Navigate down the list and check the boxes in the Display in the ‘Charge’ page column to have these fields displayed in your custom Charges template. You can select up to a maximum of 8 fields in this column. Check the boxes in the Display in the CSV export column to display these fields in the CSV export report. In this column you can select an unlimited number of fields. We’ll select the first 8 options in both columns in this example. You can rename the labels and rearrange the fields by dragging them up or down. Now you can finalise the template and give your report a custom name. Click on Save as a new template. Now you’ll be able to view your new template.
The last template used will be the template displayed in the charges screen. If you want to revert to the default charge template for this screen you can select it by navigating back to the Settings button and clicking on the drop-down arrow. You’ll notice the Default Charge and Default Transaction options along with any other templates that you have created. To modify your custom templates, select the template you wish to edit from this drop-down menu. The template will appear, then click on the yellow Settings button. The Field Settings window appears allowing you to edit the displayed fields. For this example, we’ll modify our newly created Test Custom Template by de-selecting the currency and reference fields and replacing them with the type and status fields. Then, click Update in the bottom right of the window. You’ll notice the newly updated fields are now displayed. To delete a custom template, select the template you want to delete from the drop-down arrow next to the Settings button.
For this example, we’ll delete a template no longer being used … select Old Custom Template. Click Settings and the field settings window will appear. Navigate to the bottom left of the window and click on Delete. Return to the drop-down arrow next to the settings button where you’ll notice the deleted template has now been removed.
