Welcome to the PowerBoard Dashboard tutorials. In this video we’ll provide instructions and a demonstration on how to setup a recurring or one-time reconciliation report in CSV or TEXT format. To access the PowerBoard portal, you’ll need to log in using your credentials. To set up a reconciliation report, head to the Charges tab. You’ll see a list of transactions. Click on the Charges View Mode drop-down and select Transactions View Mode. As demonstrated in the previous video, you can create a new template or select an existing template which already includes the fields and filters to appear in the report. Once the template and filters are selected, head over to Download Report, then click on the arrow. Select the Request report from the dropdown and the Report Delivery tab will appear. In the basic information section, you can enter a Label for the report and the File Name Pattern.
For this example, we’ll label the file Reconciliation report. Select the File Name Pattern as Date from … click the plus sign and select Date To. In Time Zone for file name pattern select Australia Melbourne. You’ll see an example of how the file name will look once generated. In the Destinations section there are 3 options in the Destination dropdown. The first option is Via SFTP which is a Secure File transfer Protocol allowing secure and encrypted transfer of files to your remote server. To use the Via SFTP option, an SFTP service needs to be setup with the client’s Private and Public key via the Services tab from the menu on the left of the screen. Once the SFTP service is setup, the SFTP option will be available under the specify the destination where the report will be sent field.
The second option is Via email allowing the delivery of the report to one or more email addresses. The third option is Via link. Via link allows the generation of reports as a link, accessible via the PowerBoard portal in the Report history section. In this example we’ll select the Via email option and fill in the specify the destination where the report will be sent enter the destination email address. If you’d like the report delivered to multiple email addresses, click on the plus sign and enter the additional destination email address. In the File Settings section, you’ll find a list of options in the Delimiter dropdown. This setting determines the delimiter used to separate values in the report. In this example we’ll choose Comma. Next, select the File type in the dropdown, either .csv or .txt. In this example we’ll select .csv. In the Time and frequency section, select the report type, either one time or recurring from the dropdown.
One-time reports will generate only one report on the scheduled date and time. Recurring reports are generated on either a daily, weekly or monthly basis. In this example, we’ll set up a daily recurring report for reconciliation. Please make sure the start date and time is in the future. Ensure you select the time according to your geographical location. The PowerBoard Portal settlement time is aligned with Australian Eastern Standard Time or Australian Eastern Daylight Time. As the settlement cut off time is 5:30 PM AEST or AEDT, you should set up the start time of the report accordingly. Let’s select the start date as 23rd of January 2025, 5:30 PM AEST, so the first report generated will contain the settled transactions for the period 22nd January 5:30 PM to 23rd January 5:30 PM. From the Interval dropdown select Day and in the Frequency field, type 1. Click Save and you’ll be taken to the Report History tab. A notification letting you know the report was created successfully will appear. Under the Report history tab, you can manage all the reports setup for your PowerBoard account. You can stop a recurring report, edit or remove a report and access the previously generated active reports under the View details option. Please note every report link generated or sent via email expires after 72 hrs. Discover more new features on the PowerBoard Developer Hub.
